Your real estate sign, the For Sale sign in front of your home, is a very important element of the marketing, and in the reaching of the goal of getting the full, fair, retail value of your property.
From my years of experience, it has proven out that the quality and professionalism of the sign makes a difference in how the value of your property is perceived and acted upon.
Most importantly, just for function, is there a readable point of contact? Does the sign have a phone number that can be read from the street? It’s not that tricky. But so many signs today are crammed full of tiny unreadable information.
Many homes, in HOA’s, can’t have a yard sign, and that’s ok, as there are multiple front lines of marketing, the sign is only one. However if allowed, a sign, a good sign, is an important tool for building the retail image and for getting the most value for your home.
What’s more, you will see on my listing signs, an attached custom rider, with a www. domain name that I purchase, which will lead to a web page that I build, exclusively for your property.
I personally create my sign graphics files, and I send a final pre-press ready file to a top-shelf sign maker to make an aluminum-sandwich 18 inch by 30 inch hanging sign, which are then painted with automobile-quality finishes.
Signs don’t have a long shelf life, as they are subject to all kinds of abuses, and so it can be a cost area that is tempting to try to cut corners on. Cutting corners has never worked for me.
